The fonds consists of thirteen letters (ca. 1936-1961), manuscripts which consist of 144 prose items, handwritten and typed, plays, book reviews, and articles, as well as a subject file on Charlotte Yonge. Also included in the fonds are lecture notes, clippings, obituary notices and photographs. There is also a subgroup pertaining to Lorna Lewis which contains a prose manuscript, clippings and book reviews.

E.M. Delafield was the pseudonym of Edmee Elizabeth Monica Dashwood, daughter of the novelist, Mrs. Henry de la Pasture. E.M. Delafield wrote approximately 40 books and three plays. Delafield was also a popular lecturer and she travelled throughout the U.S. and Russia.
